Ace Ventura was honestly an enjoyable character in the first movie. But this time, he gets tiresome fast. One difficulty is that there's no reverence for animals here. The opening scene, and yes I realize it was meant to be satirical of Sylvester Stallone's CLIFFHANGER, was singularly unfunny to me, and the movie sorta kept on going downhill from there. There is appeal to those who enjoy inane grossouts. I will say that.
